A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
ABOUT US...Our family moved to Caloundra mid 2005 to experience the beautiful Sunshine Coast lifestyle.
The following year we decided to open our fencing business after noticing a demand in the area.
Previously Scott had worked in civil construction, then renovating existing homes & building new houses.
Initially it was just Scott as the only fencing contractor, with me doing the administration, trying to build our business while bringing up our 3 young school & kindy aged children.
Over the years our reputation grew strong & we had a higher demand for our workso decided to employ staff to join our business.
Along with Scott & I, we now have 3 permanent installers & up to 6 casual installer as part of our Jakeda Fencing Family.2 of these are our sons & the others are young men who we have known for a period of time before joining us, either through the construction industry or through our local sporting club, where they have displayed commitment & dedication.
These personal attributes along with physical fitness, hardworking, loyalty, the ability to be able to be taught, retain & work well with their peers & of course with our customers has been essential for us.
We strongly believe that this is a huge reason we have such a good reputation, we look after our team well, & mutually respect each other.
We strive to produce the best & are always ready to accommodate our new & repeat customers.
We often get asked the meaning behind our name..... Family has always been very important to us, so when we set up our business, we wanted to somehow use our children's names in our business name.We decided to incorporate the first 2 letters of their names- Jade, Keaton & Dalton, in so making Jakeda. It is always interesting & a bit funny hearing the different ways people pronounce it.
