ALUMINIUM
The most common aluminium fence panels are
the flat top 1200mm high panels used extensively as pool & garden fences.
Aluminium Pool FencesTo be pool compliant these panels must be 1200mm high with vertical tubes at 90mm centres & 6 points of welding to each vertical to comply with the Australian standards & legislation.
These 1200mm high panels come in either 2450mm or 3000mm lengths which can be cut down to the desired length. Custom panels can be made to fit within structures of your pool for terraced areas, steps, decking etc & can also be manufactured to different heights.
They are readily available in Satin Black & Domain (classic cream)
with powder coating available for other colour choices.
Gates come with spring hinges & a magna latch.
They are commonly 970mm wide but can be custom made depending on opening size.
All gates are required to open out from the pool to be pool compliant & self-closing.
Temporary fencing is available to hire for overnight use
for a very reasonable fee if instalment can’t be completed in one day & fencing is required around pools.
Aluminium Boundary FencesAlthough they look the same as pool fencing the main difference
is the vertical tubes are at 100mm centres & just have 4 points of welding to each vertical.
These panels usually come in 2450mm or 3000mm lengths which can be cut down to the desired length.
The heights can be 900, 1200 or 1800mm with custom panels manufactured depending on requirements.
The post sizes range from 50x50mm, 65x65mm, 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
The gate widths are the same as the pool with the standard being 970mm for a single or 1470mm wide for a larger single then 3000mm for a double, again custom sizes can be made.
Normally non-spring hinges are used with lok-latches & drop bolts on the double gates.
Aluminium fencing comes in a variety of styles from flat top, loop, picket, spear, double top rail, slat, louver, to name but a few.
The profile you select for these aluminium fences can have a dramatic effect.
Louver & Slat fences can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal
available in a range of tilt angles, fixed & adjustable.
They offer clean modern lines & come in a range of sizes which can be combined for an added feature.
They are visually attractive & look great as a feature to your home for
fences, gates, enclosures, screens for privacy or hiding bins, pool pumps etc.
Often, they are incorporated into other fencing styles or with different coloured frames.
Louvers are 60% angled with a slight overlap which creates a visual barrier without constraining airflow.
These are a great option if you want to combine ventilation with privacy. Air can circulate through the fence – helpful in a small, enclosed space – and light can filter in.
Anyone on the other side of the angled slats would struggle to see into your space,
depending on how you angle your slats.
Louvers can also be elliptical which gives a soft curve on each louver.
Slats are flat usually with a 10-12mm gap allowing more airflow than the louver
& also allows more visibility.
Smaller areas can often benefit from having horizontal slats which can visually widen the spaces.
The aluminium can also be installed raked or stepped for that uneven ground
or even curved around a pool or as a feature.
Aluminium is also a popular material to use for balustrade, enclosures etc
The combination of aluminium & hardwood is another very stylish look.
Hardwood posts of 100x75mm or 100x100mm can enhance the fence
giving it a dramatic look & break up the aluminium focus especially if a long fence.
Aluminium is a strong durable cost effective, long-lasting rust-free product
suitable for all locations especially here with our coastal environment.
